One of a kind, hand built ceramic stoneware sculpture, reduction fired, 2021, by Keavy Murphree

During the reduction firing process, a gas fuel source creates an atmosphere in the kiln, which pulls oxygen from the clay and the glaze, resulting in more earthy and matte finishes than in an electric kiln.
